Local Market Statistics for December 2017

The market has moved to a slight buyer’s market as we’ve moved from fall to winter. With inventory inching up, median prices have inched down. As can be expected, winter is generally a slower time for sellers, but there is still movement in the single family home category. The condo/townhome category is still in a seller’s market, but activity is starting to cool. Watch for reduced prices throughout the colder months.
According to the Land Title Guarantee Company, Summit County buyers were primarily from the Front Range at 39% of our market, 28% are “local” and 32% are out of state buyers for the month of September.
Comparing Q3 2017 to Q3 2016, sales volume is down 2.64%, but the average residential price is up 18.45%.
