August 2017 Summit County Market Report

Based on current listings and sold properties in July, the Summit county housing market is showing slight signs of a buyer’s market.

According to Altos Research and the Title Company of the Rockies, “Home sales have been exceeding new inventory for several weeks. Since this is a Buyer’s market, prices are not yet moving higher as excess inventory is consumed. However, as the supply and demand trends continue, the market moves into the Seller’s zone, and we are likely to see upward pressure on pricing.”

The median list price for single family homes is averaging $1,195,000 (down from $1,225,900 in June 2017) and the median list price for condos is averaging $580,000 (down from $688,500 in June 2017).
